Departure and Approach

As altitude builds, Kilimanjaro's full profile emerges, its three volcanic cones, Kibo the highest and home to Uhuru Peak, Mawenzi the jagged eastern peak, and Shira the oldest and most eroded, along with the barren Saddle plateau connecting Kibo and Mawenzi.
