Tamu Tamu Serengeti is a mid-range tented camp by the Olerai Wilderness Collection, located approximately 45 minutes from Seronera airstrip in the central Serengeti. Despite its affordable positioning, the camp delivers a quality safari experience that regularly surprises guests: spacious, well-equipped tents on raised platforms, a resident chef preparing fresh meals, and an unfenced setting that allows wildlife including elephants, lions, and hyenas to roam through the camp during the night. The tents are decorated with handmade African art from the Paprika project and feature both indoor and outdoor showers, the latter a genuine highlight after a day on the plains.
Ten en-suite tents accommodate guests in single, double, or triple configurations, with a family option also available. Game drives are guided by experienced local guides and cover the game-rich plains of central Serengeti, including the Seronera Valley with its year-round lions and leopards. A campfire pit in the central area serves as the evening gathering point. The camp offers excellent value for the central Serengeti zone.
Ten en-suite tented rooms on raised platforms with both indoor and outdoor showers, private verandas, African art décor, and mosquito nets. Family configurations available.
Seronera airstrip is approximately 45 minutes by road. Scheduled and charter flights from Arusha take approximately 1 hour. The camp team arranges all airstrip transfers.
