Serengeti Bushtops is a permanent luxury tented camp in the Wogakuria Hills of the northern Serengeti, approximately 25km from the Mara River and positioned for superb Great Migration river crossing access from July to October. Opened in 2010, it has built a devoted following for the sheer scale of its tent suites each of the twelve is anchored by a 120-square-metre open-sided living deck with private hot tub, making it one of the most spacious private outdoor environments of any Serengeti property.
The main lodge is architecturally striking: a central wine wall, open-sided dining area with fireplace, large lounge, library, and infinity pool with jacuzzi face the Serengeti below. Complimentary massages are included in the all-inclusive rates a rarity at this level. Expert guides lead daily and full-day game drives in purpose-built open 4×4 vehicles, and The Beest Bushtops’ exclusive 6×6 mega-safari vehicle is available for a distinctive alternative game experience. Butler service is 24 hours throughout.
Twelve luxury tented suites, each built from wood and canvas with private 120m² open-sided deck, private hot tub, king or twin beds, en-suite rainfall shower area, writing desk, and 24-hour butler service. Two family units link two standard suites via a bridge. Children aged 7 and older welcome.
The camp is accessed via Kogatende airstrip in the northern Serengeti, from which it is approximately a 20-minute road transfer. Scheduled and charter flights connect Arusha with Kogatende in approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. The Bushtops team meets guests at the airstrip and handles all transfers.
