Sayari Camp is an Asilia Africa property and one of the finest permanent camps in the Kogatende area of the northern Serengeti consistently ranked among Tanzania’s best. Its name means ‘planet’ in Swahili, a reflection of the infinite feeling of the northern plains rolling to the Kenyan border. The camp is split into two distinct wings, each with its own lounge and dining tent, ensuring guests never feel crowded despite the property’s 15-suite capacity. Between the wings, the swimming pool has been carved out of existing kopje rocks and stones one of the most naturally integrated pools in the Serengeti.
Fifteen tented suites are raised on mahogany platforms and stilts, with bathtubs positioned to face the Serengeti views and private verandas with sunbeds for quiet morning observation. A honeymoon tent features a four-poster bed, outdoor bathtub, and an especially secluded veranda. For larger groups and families, two dedicated Retreats offer private butler, chef, and guide services alongside the standard suite comforts. Game drives, short walking safaris, hot-air balloon rides, community visits, and spa treatments are offered throughout the year; the Migration crossings peak July through October.
