Safari Haven Migration Camp is the seasonal northern Serengeti property in the Safari Haven Camps portfolio. Positioned in the Kogatende area near the Mara River, the camp is operational from approximately June to November the period when the Great Migration’s wildebeest and zebra herds gather in the northern Serengeti for their dramatic crossings of the Mara River. The camp’s focus on the Migration makes it a purposeful, value-conscious choice for guests who want to be in the right place at the right time without paying the premium rates of the established luxury properties in the area.
Comfortable en-suite tented accommodation with private eco-friendly facilities, expert local guides, and full-board meals are the camp’s essentials. Guided game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, walking safaris, and hot-air balloon excursions (at extra cost) cover the rich northern Serengeti landscape, which offers excellent wildlife viewing all year, peaking from July to October during the Migration season.

Kogatende airstrip is the nearest airstrip in the northern Serengeti, served by scheduled and charter flights from Arusha in approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. The camp team arranges road transfers from the airstrip. The camp also operates a seasonal Ndutu location for the southern migration.
