Praro Amboseli Camp is a modest mid-range tented camp in the Amboseli area of Kenya, offering basic safari accommodation in one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The camp serves travellers looking for affordable access to the Amboseli ecosystem and its extraordinary wildlife particularly the habituated elephant herds, Kilimanjaro views, and diverse birdlife for which the area is celebrated worldwide.
Accommodation is in tents with en-suite facilities. Meals are served in the camp’s restaurant and game drives into Amboseli National Park are the primary activity, led by experienced local guides. The camp is a straightforward, no-frills base for wildlife viewing in one of East Africa’s most rewarding national parks.
Amboseli Airport (ASV) is served by scheduled charter flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport (WIL), a journey of approximately 45–60 minutes. The camp arranges road transfers from the airstrip, which typically include a game drive en route to camp a superb introduction to the ecosystem. By road from Nairobi the journey takes approximately 4 hours on the A104 highway. Private charters from JKIA can be arranged directly to Amboseli.
