Narudi Tented Camp is the flagship property of Great Exploration Camps Ltd, opened in the central Serengeti in late 2019. The camp set out to bring city-hotel quality standards to remote bush accommodation at genuinely accessible pricing, and its ‘Discovery Tent’ design a 45m² three-segment structure with a private living area, large bedroom, and en-suite facilities, has become the camp’s defining feature. Each tent features 180-degree landscape views, a rooftop sunshade deck, armchairs with international charging sockets, and a hot shower fed by a 115-litre solar-heated water reserve.
The camp is 100% solar-powered and takes sustainability seriously, with a no-fence philosophy that allows wildlife zebra, wildebeest herds, and occasionally lions to pass through the camp grounds. The camp is located approximately 20km north of Seronera airstrip in central Serengeti roughly a 30-minute road transfer. Scheduled and charter flights from Arusha serve Seronera in approximately 1 hour. The camp team manages all airstrip transfers.
