Mara River Camp is the northern Serengeti property in the Karibu Camps and Lodges collection, positioned just 300 metres from the legendary Mara River in the Kogatende area one of the finest locations in Africa for witnessing the Great Migration’s dramatic river crossings between June and October. The camp combines luxury accommodation with a genuinely personal service ethos: butler service is attentive and responsive, and the team is known for arranging memorable moments such as private bush dinners, honeymoon surprises, and tailored safari routes for each party.
Fifteen luxury suites are arranged around the camp in double and twin configurations, each with a private terrace offering savannah and wildlife views. After game drives, guests gather at the swimming pool and central lounge to share sightings and enjoy sundowners. The Mara River corridor provides not just the famous wildebeest crossings, but year-round concentrations of elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, and baboon making the camp a worthwhile destination even outside migration season.
Fifteen luxury suites (double and twin) with private terraces, en-suite bathrooms, and wildlife views. Pool, restaurant, bar, and gift shop in the main area. Access via Kogatende airstrip.
The camp is located near Kogatende in the northern Serengeti, approximately 300 metres from the Mara River. Kogatende airstrip is the nearest landing strip, served by scheduled and charter flights from Arusha in approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. The Karibu Camps team manages all airstrip transfers.
