Argyle Grand Hotel is a five-star airport hotel on Mombasa Road in Nairobi’s Embakasi district, approximately 4km from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) one of the closest full-service luxury hotels to Nairobi’s international terminal. The hotel opened in late 2023, making it one of the newest major hotel openings in Nairobi, and belongs to the Australian Argyle Hotels Group. The property blends international luxury standards with traditional Kenyan design touches: warm Kenyan stone, local art, and open social spaces that make it feel more genuinely welcoming than most airport hotels.
Two hundred and thirty-one individually decorated rooms and suites feature smart technology, rainfall showers, minibars, and soundproofed windows for peaceful sleep despite the proximity to the airport. Two restaurants, a coffee shop, and a cocktail bar serve international, African, Chinese, and American cuisines around the clock. A heated outdoor pool, spa (with sauna, steam room, and hot tub), fully equipped gym, and extensive conference space (6,545 sq ft, 6 meeting rooms) make the hotel functional for both airport layovers and longer business or leisure stays in Nairobi. A 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle operates between the hotel and JKIA terminals.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) serves Nairobi with direct flights from London, Amsterdam, Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, Addis Ababa, and many other international hubs. The hotel arranges airport transfers; journey time from JKIA to the hotel varies 20–45 minutes depending on location and traffic. Wilson Airport (WIL) serves domestic and safari charter flights.
