&Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is one of the most celebrated and iconic safari properties in Africa, perched directly on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. First opened in 1995 and comprehensively rebuilt in 2014, the lodge combines a Maasai-meets-Victorian aesthetic with contemporary luxury at the highest level: 30 suites each have their own heated, butler-serviced plunge pools, open fireplaces, and private forest verandas from which guests look directly into the crater below. The scale of the setting is extraordinary, with direct views of the crater floor where up to 25,000 large animals live year-round.

Game drives descend directly from the lodge into the crater, where black rhino, lion, elephant, leopard, and buffalo sightings are near-guaranteed. Thirty Forest Suites and Forest Spa Suites each feature a private heated plunge pool, butler service, open fireplace, en-suite bathroom, and a forest veranda with crater views. The Spa Suites add private spa treatment rooms.
Charter flights from Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to the Manyara Airstrip (LKY) take approximately 30–45 minutes, followed by a road transfer of around 2 hours to the lodge on the crater rim. The &Beyond team coordinates all logistics and transfers for guests.
