The Z Hotel opened in 2010 as Zanzibar’s original contemporary boutique hotel the first designer property on the island and the only one in Tanzania to have been named among TripAdvisor’s ‘Trendiest Hotels in Africa’ and nominated for the World Travel Awards’ Africa’s Leading Beach Hotel. Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) is approximately 55–60km from Nungwi, about a 1-hour drive north along the island. The hotel arranges airport transfers. Daily flights connect Zanzibar with Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, and other regional hubs.
