Singita Faru Faru Lodge sits on a gently sloping hill overlooking the Grumeti River and a natural waterhole on the 350,000-acre private Singita Grumeti Reserve in Tanzania’s Western Corridor. Opened in 2007, it is the most relaxed and organically styled of the Singita Grumeti properties — a barefoot-elegant camp inspired by classic botanist’s field camps, with a warm palette of bone, ivory, nude and clay, natural stone and thatching, and a laid-back atmosphere that feels immediately at home.
The reserve sits directly in the path of the annual Great Migration, and the Grumeti River crossings from June to July bring some of the most dramatic wildlife theatre on the continent. Faru Faru’s unfenced setting means animals walk freely to and from the adjacent waterhole, which guests can observe from the two rim-flow swimming pools, elevated viewing decks, and directly from suite windows. The all-inclusive rates encompass all meals, drinks, twice-daily game drives, guided walks, night drives, conservation activities, and Grumeti Fund community experiences.
Nine suites include a family suite and a two-bedroom Villa Suite with private pool and shared lounge. Each suite is finished in natural materials reflecting the bush palette, with large sliding windows framing waterhole views, private verandas, air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms. Two rim-flow swimming pools, a spa with two treatment rooms, fully equipped gym, and yoga facilities serve all guests across the three Singita Grumeti properties.
Singita Grumeti is served by Grumeti Air, which operates scheduled and charter flights directly from Arusha and Kilimanjaro airports to the Singita Sasakwa airstrip. Sasakwa airstrip is approximately a 20-minute drive from Faru Faru Lodge. Grumeti Air also connects Sasakwa with Lamai airstrip in the northern Serengeti for guests continuing their Singita journey.
