Twenty Club Tents (the premium category, with elevated plains views, large en-suite bathrooms with his-and-hers sinks, sliding glass doors, snug loungers, and private wooden decks) sit above 51 Standard Tents (canvas walls, permanent roof, double or twin beds, en-suite shower) and 2 Family Tents. All are air-conditioned and fitted with minibar, hairdryer, and charging facilities. The expansive Boma dining area, a free-form swimming pool with its own pool bar, an al fresco lounge, spa services including Swedish massage and aromatherapy, an Olchani Club Lounge for Club Tent guests, and comprehensive conference and event facilities make Sarova Mara one of the reserve’s most versatile properties.
The Maasai Mara is reached by a 45-minute scheduled charter flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport (WIL). Multiple daily flights are available on shared charters, operated by several Kenyan carriers. International travellers arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) can transfer to Wilson Airport or arrange a private charter flight directly to the camp’s nearest airstrip. Road access from Nairobi takes approximately 5–6 hours and is not recommended except for the most budget-conscious travellers.
