Mgunga Serengeti Camp is an intimate mid-range tented camp in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, approximately 40km from Seronera and well positioned for the annual Great Migration passage through this area between May and July. The camp occupies a quiet and private setting in the Serengeti’s open savannah, with stylish tented accommodation that punches above its price point in comfort and design, offering en-suite facilities, hot water, and a personal safari atmosphere more common at higher-category properties.
Twice-daily game drives are the primary activity, led by experienced guides in the western corridor and surrounding areas. Walking safaris are also available. WiFi is provided in the central lounge and dining area. The camp’s family tent which can accommodate up to five guests and be configured as two separate units makes Mgunga a practical and affordable option for family groups wanting genuine Serengeti access without a luxury-camp price tag.
Nine en-suite luxury tents available in single, double, or triple occupancy, plus one spacious family tent that can sleep up to five adults or be divided into two separate units. Each tent has a private en-suite bathroom with flush toilet, hot shower, and charging station. Communal dining and lounge area with bar and campfire pit.
The camp is situated approximately 40km from Seronera airstrip in the central Serengeti. Charter and scheduled flights connect Arusha with Seronera in approximately 1 hour. From Seronera, road transfers to the camp take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. The camp team can assist with transfer arrangements.
