Masek Tented Lodge is a TWC (Tanganyika Wilderness Camps) permanent tented property on the shores of Lake Masek in the Ndutu area of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, south of Serengeti National Park. The camp is positioned directly on the annual Great Migration route from December to April the vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle fill the surrounding plains, and the calving season in February brings one of the most dramatic wildlife spectacles on earth within metres of the camp. Twenty tents are arranged on raised wooden platforms with private terraces, en-suite bathrooms featuring a standalone bathtub and outdoor shower, and gauze-mesh verandas that allow the breeze to flow while keeping insects out.
The main building an elegant elevated structure of thatched palm overlooks Lake Masek, where hippos and flamingos are regular visitors and wildlife gather at the water’s edge throughout the day. The camp is eco-friendly: solar panels supply all electricity, water is collected rainwater, and all products used are biodegradable. An infinity pool, lounge, and library complete a comfortable and wildlife-focused base for exploring this southern Serengeti ecosystem.

Ndutu Airstrip is 4km from the camp; Kusini Airstrip is 6km; and Seronera Airstrip is 67km. Daily scheduled flights from Arusha Airport (ARK) during high season take under an hour. Charter flights are available year-round.
