Manyara’s Secret is a boutique villa lodge perched above Lake Manyara in Mto wa Mbu, offering some of the most arresting views over the lake of any property in the region. With elephants, monkeys, and the lake’s famous tree-climbing lions active nearby, and the lake’s flocks of flamingos visible from the terrace, the setting does the talking. Just 15 minutes from Lake Manyara National Park, an hour from both Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater, the lodge sits at the centre of a productive northern circuit itinerary.

Only four private villas are available, which keeps the atmosphere genuinely exclusive. Each has its own plunge pool and private terrace, and the lodge’s spa, restaurant, and bar complete a self-contained experience designed for guests who want privacy over hotel-scale amenity. The property has a Dutch-owned character that shows in the detail of its service and design.

Accommodation

Four villa categories accommodate between two and eight guests each, ranging from a Private Villa for couples to a Baobab Villa for larger groups. Every villa has a private plunge pool, lake views, and en-suite bathroom.
