Elewana Tarangire Treetops is one of northern Tanzania’s most visually distinctive lodges, with its 20 rooms built into and around the enormous baobab trees that give Tarangire its iconic character. Part of the Elewana Collection, each tree-house-style suite is constructed to work with the ancient baobabs rather than against them, creating an experience that is simultaneously luxurious and deeply connected to the natural environment. The lodge sits inside Tarangire National Park, within one of the most productive wildlife corridors in East Africa for elephant, lion, leopard, and cheetah sightings.
The atmosphere here is warm and intimate, with a spa, library, and communal dining under a towering roof that channels the spirit of the African bush. Game drives, guided bush walks, and night drives are all available, and the Elewana team’s guiding standard is consistently high across the collection.
Twenty tree-house suites are positioned in and around giant baobab trees. Family Tree-House suites accommodate children and can be connected to adjacent units. All have en-suite facilities and private decks with bush views.
Charter flights from Arusha Airport (ARK) to Kuro Airstrip inside Tarangire National Park take approximately 20 minutes. Ground transfers from the airstrip are coordinated by the Elewana team. Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is the primary international gateway.
