Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment is an affordable tented camp operated by Beach & Safari, positioned on the escarpment above the Lake Manyara plain with views across the Rift Valley. The camp offers a straightforward base for northern circuit travellers who want to keep costs moderate while remaining well-positioned for Lake Manyara National Park, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro day excursions. The tented accommodation is simple but functional, with en-suite facilities and a communal dining and bar area where guests typically gather in the evenings.
The escarpment setting provides striking views at dawn and dusk, and the location is well-suited to travellers making their way through the northern circuit on a tighter budget or who prefer a camp-style experience over lodge accommodation.
Safari tents are pitched on the escarpment with basic en-suite bathrooms. The camp’s communal areas include a dining tent, bar, and open fire area for evenings.
Lake Manyara Airport (LKY) is the nearest airstrip, served by charter flights from Arusha and Kilimanjaro. The camp can arrange road transfers from the airstrip. Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is approximately 2 hours by road.
