Africa Safari Lake Natron is a Beach & Safari camp on the shores of Lake Natron, offering a more accessible and affordable way to experience one of Tanzania’s most dramatic wilderness destinations. The camp sits within a Wildlife Management Area (WMA), giving guests access to a protected natural corridor managed in partnership with the local Maasai community, whose guides lead all activities. The elevated restaurant and bar platform looks directly over the lake, where the famous alkaline waters attract vast numbers of lesser flamingos year-round and particularly so during the breeding season.
Accommodation is offered in two categories: two King Suite units with larger, more comfortable interiors, and basic safari tents for budget-conscious travellers who prioritise the destination over the facility. A swimming pool, restaurant, and bar ensure the stay is comfortable in this remote and fiercely hot environment. Maasai-led excursions to the Ngare Sero waterfalls, flamingo-viewing walks, and cultural village visits are among the signature activities.
King Suite units (53m²) offer en-suite facilities with king-size beds. Basic safari tents provide an affordable camp-style option near the restaurant, bar, and pool.
Charter flights from Arusha to the Lake Natron area airstrip can be arranged. Road transfers from the airstrip to the camp are short. The camp team can advise on current flight options.
